Deaths

When a loved one dies, there are many decisions that must be made immediately.  Members of our congregation should contact Rabbi Morris on his cell phone at 917-304-5089, or at his Rabbinic Study, 631-899-3718.  He will guide you through the process of funeral preparations and mourning.

Funerals should be scheduled as soon as possible after a death, preferably within 24 hours.

Our Nichum Aveilim (Comforting the Mourners) team is ready to help organize services for the Shiva house and to provide a meal of consolation.  

The Temple's cemetery has a limited number of plots available for purchase by (and for) Temple members.  Please contact Howard Chwatsky at 631-725-4523, or cemetery@templeadasisrael.org.  Plots may also be available for purchase at the Independent Jewish Cemetery in Sag Harbor.
