Our Board

The Board of Trustees is currently comprised of 15 members, including the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. It has responsibility for the general management of the Temple’s affairs, funds, records and property.   

It meets  every other month during the winter and monthly the rest of the year, and acts on all matters of policy.   Board meetings, except in rare instances, are open to the congregation at large.  

In addition, there is a category of “Associate Board Members” - mainly those very active as Committee chairpersons, who participate in all facets of the Board, except voting. The Temple Adas Israel By-Laws were formulated based on guidelines by the Union of Reform Judaism.
